HUMANCENTRIC is an original storytelling platform conceived, curated and produced by MikeTeevee.
The format exists as a film series and immersive installation, designed to evolve across festivals, galleries, brands and cultural spaces.
To explore the emerging language of AI filmmaking, MikeTeevee invited Oscar-nominated writer Efthimis Filippou to write a single scene.
That script was then handed to eight artists, each working with AI as one of their filmmaking tools.
The brief was simple — everything could change except the dialogue.
While the script follows a washed-up Lieutenant confronting a barman over the brutal murder of his family, the interpretations diverge wildly, unfolding across surreal, noir, uncanny worlds.
At its core, HUMANCENTRIC is an exploration of interpretation: how the same piece of writing can divide into different cinematic worlds through different creative voices. At a time when AI is often framed as a replacement for human craft, HUMANCENTRIC offers a different perspective: AI as a creative partner, shaped by human instinct.
When I started writing scripts 20 years ago I was really annoyed that the film had nothing to do with what I’d imagined. Now I know that is the best thing that can happen to a script. And to know it happened eight times… what a pleasure.

If everyone has access to the same tools, what actually makes the difference?
HUMANCENTRIC is as much about creating new ways to experience film as it is about creating new films.
Rather than presenting the films through a traditional screening, MikeTeevee created an immersive installation that became the project's ninth artist: a new interpretation of the work, through space and audience interaction.
Premiering at AI on the Lot in Los Angeles, visitors entered a gallery transformed into a warped carnival attraction. They spun a Wheel of Fortune, which randomly selected one of the eight films, before being guided into a private curtained viewing booth – part peep show, part confession booth – to experience each film.
The installation transformed passive viewing into participation, creating a surreal and intimate encounter with AI-driven storytelling.
